Ok - here are a few of the pictures from my sessions in my attempt at photography over a week ago.
Vallen is my nephew, via my husbands brother, (aka my brother-in-law Joey). He will be 2 years old in just a few weeks! I can't believe how fast these kids are growing! As if you can't tell, Vallen was a little hard to work with, as I'm sure most 2 year olds are. Only, this one doesn't ever want to smile. I bet out of 200+ pictures, he was smiling in 5! We were able to get him to say cheese, which I guess is his attempt at smiling, so he didn't look unhappy in ALL of them. Sweet boy though. It was fun chasing him around until the mosquitoes attacked us. For those in Baytown, DO NOT go to the nature center without OFF! I literally came home with 18+ bites, while Kyndall was lucky enough to only get caught with one on top of her head. We didn't get to take near as many pictures as I wanted to there because they were so bad, and I didn't want to subject any of us, especially K to that. But I digress...pictures dang it.

Jordan is my other brother-in-law, Cody's girlfriend. I pretty much call her my sister-in-law since they have been together for about 3 years now. She's graduating from Deer Park this year, and although she had some other senior pictures done, by a professional, we decided to head down to Galveston and let me get some practice. A big point was that she skim boards, so I was going to get some of her doing that...only she forgot the skim board...We still had a good time anyways, and even got a few of her and Cody.
You know...I've realized in doing these, that photography is so much more intimate than I ever thought it was. It takes a lot to share your work, at least for me it does. Maybe as I get a little better, and more comfortable that will change. But for now, I am picturing all of you naked. Because that's what makes this easier for me.
I think you are doing a great job! And BTW- you are so much better at this blogging thing than me. I guess I just have a boring life bc I dont know what to say on here, well I do but it would all sound pretty depressing right about now.LOL!

Hey girl!! I'm sorry I haven't been around to check your blog lately!! I just read through all the posts I've missed though! You are a bloggin machine sister!!! I loved reading through all of your posts! You make me laugh! You seriously made me crack up out loud when you said the part about picturing us all naked for your photography post!! HILARIOUS! I totally know what you mean though! Anyway...all that aside...you are REALLY doing a FANTASTIC job with your photography! I'm so proud of you and happy that you are stepping out there and doing it!!! You are growing leaps and bounds with every photo you take and I'm really impressed with your eye and your creativity! Keep it up! I can't wait to see what you do next! :)
