Fish Tank Chronicles

We have lost another. Oh no, its not one of the two yellow ones that I suspected where next a few days ago...those two fellas are still hanging in. And its not one of the babies. I caught a glimpse of both of them yesterday too...It's one of the new ones (again). Just to recap the last week...which is only the second of the fish tanks stocked existence. BTW - There is such a thing as "New Tank Syndrome", where this kind of stuff happens. So, its not entirely our fault. Something about good bacteria and bad bacteria and there needs to be good created by a few fish before you add more fish...which is once again why I am right that we should have waited...

Two sick fish - One with a cloudy eye (my favorite) and one with what I have diagnosed with "fin rot" per the medicine box...They both seem to be making some improvements with the "fin rot" one doing pretty good!

1st loss - Red with black spots Swordfish - can't remember name
2nd loss - Minnie
3rd loss (overnight) - Freckles (showed no signs of illness)

So...ALL of the fish we initially got are still alive and doing well (as far as a I know). Wonder if he will listen next time? But our tank of 10, is now down to 7.

Sorry if all this fish tank talk isn't too entertaining. But this blog isn't all about you, you know. ;) Eventually I want to find a way to archive this all. Like all the notes I still have that we passed around in school! Ha!

And here are some pictures FYE...and just so that there aren't a bunch of words and no pictures.

3 of the OG's...

The 4th of our originals is the red/orange swordfish. The other is my favorite little guy, who has the "cloudy eye".
