Ready or Not

So...if Rhyder doesn't decide to come before then...his given date of arrival will be July 2, 2010!!!

We are scheduled for a 7:45 am c-section that morning. Can't wait! This whole pregnancy has been such a challenge. Starting with the day I found out, which was a random pregnancy test at 12:30 am because the smell of chicken made me sick...and from then on, everything made me sick. Then at 8 weeks, I was put into the hospital for a week after several blood clots were found in my left leg. I've been having to see 2 doctors the whole time, my regular OB, Dr. Holste and my Perinatal OB, Dr. Hare (who I swear is Dr. Miranda Bailey in the flesh). Those first 8 weeks were followed by several more of sickness, and worry about my leg. Then at about 30 weeks, I got a kidney stone, which hung around for about 2 weeks, and had me in the hospital another 3 days off and on during that time....so, I'm ready to be D-U-N!!!!

{{His arrival date is also one that will always be in the back of our minds for other reasons - but I just can't bring myself to write about it...Let's just say that hopefully his arrival will bring a new joy to that date as well, as the sadness we feel when we think about.}}

This little boy has been such an unplanned surprise, such a pain, and such a BLESSING!!! I can't wait to meet him. I finally feel a sense of peace with his room, and all the things that we have for him. I was so stressed and worried for a while, but now I'm finally feeling good about it. I feel ready.
